Divorce

I represent men and women throughout the divorce process, from the initial filing through post-judgment motions for enforcement or modification. I handle all matters related to divorce, including child custody and visitation, child support, alimony or spousal support, and marital property settlements. See my page on divorce to learn more.

Child Custody and Parenting Time

I will work with you to establish and put in place plans governing child custody and visitation, placing the needs of your children first, but also considering your rights as a parent. I will also review proposed child support orders for compliance with Colorado law and determine if all relevant income has been included in the calculation. For more information, visit my page on child custody and parenting time.

Support and Property Division

I will help you determine whether alimony or spousal support is warranted and, if so, the terms of an alimony order, including amount, duration and frequency of payments. I will also work with you to equitably divide marital property, including real estate, financial accounts, retirement funds and business assets. To learn more, go to my page on support and property division.

Modification of an Existing Divorce Decree

If your divorce is final, but your situation has changed, I can protect your rights in proceedings to change an existing order. I handle modifications involving child custody, child support and spousal support judgments. See my page on modifications to learn more.

In addition, I assist clients with the preparation of written separation agreements, as well as the implementation of prenuptial agreements. I also handle domestic violence proceedings, including actions for restraining orders.

Child Protective Services

I will help evaluate your case so that you can work with child protective services to obtain the best possible outcome for you and your children.

Adoption

Adoption is one of the relatively few areas in Family Law where all the parties can leave the Courthouse happy. At the Law Office of Keith Sandoval, we will guide you through all the legal steps to ensure that your adoption had a happy ending.

Grandparents Rights

In a divorce, frequently the parents and children aren't the only ones who sacrifice and compromise. Relationships with Grandparents are often overlooked. Considering all the facts and preparing your case well can be critical to success in court. Being prepared often requires the help of an experienced attorney.
